Predicting the life-time benefit of school-based smoking prevention programmes

Thanks to Mike Ashton for bringing my attention to this study, which suggests that school based programmes delaying the onset of smoking have benefits in later life. The results suggest:
An intervention that delays smoking initiation without decreasing smoking prevalence at age 18 may reduce adult smoking
