The contribution of club participation to adolescent health: evidence from six countries

We’ve recently seen some evidence that young people who are involved in social activities, such as youth clubs, are prone to risky behaviour.
But it appears that needn’t be so.
A paper published in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health, and which draws on data from 6 countries suggests that being involved in formal clubs has a positive impact on health:
