Youth Alcohol Action Plan

The Telegraph:

Teachers will be told to look out for pupils with hangovers and refer repeat offenders to addiction clinics or counsellors under plans to be unveiled on Monday.

The scheme to tackle underage alcohol abuse also suggests education about the dangers of overindulging should start when pupils are as young as five.

And again:

Rowdy teenagers who habitually get drunk in parks and on the streets are the main targets of a plan to tackle under-age alcohol abuse.

Police will be given new powers to prosecute youths who are repeatedly found drinking in public and to break up gangs.

Officers will also be told to take more action against children who try to buy beer and alcopops from supermarkets and off-licences.
