The Hub of Commissioned Alcohol Projects and Policies

Alcohol Policy UK bring my attention to the Hub of Commissioned Alcohol Projects and Policies (HubCAPP) a new Alcohol Concern managed website.  Their remit is as:

an online resource of local alcohol initiatives throughout England. The Hub has a particular focus on capturing the policies, decisions and strategic history that enabled projects to come into existence.

Taking the site for a quick spin I see there are two alcohol education projects up on the site already.  One from Salford:

The peer-education project will run in 6 schools in Salford. Training will be provided to Year 10 pupils in order that they can peer educate Year 7 pupils about alcohol issues. All year 10 pupils in participating schools are given information about the project and are invited to apply to take part. 20 pupils from each school are then selected. Parents are informed of their child’s involvement in the project.

The other from Leeds:

Unit 14 21 was developed by the Leeds University Union (LUU) Marketing Department with funding from Leeds Primary Care Trust. This campaign is designed to increase awareness of the facts and effects surrounding binge drinking as a young person and to allow people to make informed decisions regarding their drinking habits, safety and welfare. The campaign set out to align itself with club and bar culture by drawing on promotional techniques employed by the industry. The key messages continue to be delivered using teaser campaigns, flyering, fly posters, promo teams and give-aways.
