News and views from the Drug Education Forum

What do we need to ask / tell Nick Gibb MP?

A group of us are going to see Conservative Education Spokesman Nick Gibb MP early next month.

According to Mr Gibb’s profile on the Conservative Party website before he entered Parliament he was a Chartered Accountant.  Since then he has served on the Conservative front bench in the Treasury team and with a Trade and Industry portfolio:

Since May 2005, he has served as a Shadow Minister for Education, and currently he is Shadow Minister for Schools.

We are going to see him because of a quote he gave The Times where he was critical of the qualification developed by the British Institute of Innkeeping.

However, I know that we’ll want to talk more generally about how the Conservatives view drug education should they win the next general election.  And we’d like your views on what we should ask and the sorts of things readers of this blog would find it useful for us to pass on to Mr Gibb.

If you’d rather not leave a comment on the blog you can always email me at andrew[at]drugeducationforum.org.uk (replacing the [at] with an @ sign).
